Proxy Format Checker
Paste a proxy string. This page checks the shape and prints a curl command you can run on your own machine. It does not connect to the proxy. A server-side test would make this site open connections to arbitrary hosts, so that feature is not offered.
Formats accepted
- host:port
- host:port:username:password
- http://username:password@host:port
- socks5://username:password@host:port
Use the HTTP form with curl -x for HTTP proxies. Use the SOCKS5 form only with a client that speaks SOCKS5. Do not send a SOCKS5 string to an HTTP port.
